What is Bio gel?
Bio gel is a builder gel spread with a brush straight onto your natural nail, no tips and no powder. Layer by layer, cured under an LED lamp, it sets into a flexible shell that gently arches the nail and shields it from everyday knocks. You feel a thin extra thickness but no stiffness: the nail still bends slightly instead of snapping at the first bump. The finish stays smooth and either clear or tinted, never bulky like a fake set. That's what sets it apart from acrylic, with no strong fumes and no aggressive filing of the nail surface. Because it flexes with the nail, bio gel suits thin nails that bend and peel.

How long does it last?
A typical set lasts 3 to 4 weeks before a refill. With a simple care routine (cuticle oil at bedtime, gloves for housework), wear time is even better.
What to expect at your appointment
Prep and clean the nail, apply primer, then a base coat. Gel is built up in short layers, cured under an LED lamp. Glossy or matte top coat, finish. Expect 60 to 75 minutes for the full service.

Is Bio gel gentler than acrylic?
Yes. It goes onto the lightly buffed natural nail with no powder and no strong fumes, and it stays flexible rather than hard. Many clients who react to acrylic do fine with it.
How does removal work?
We buff back the surface shine, then wrap each nail in a soaked cotton pad so the gel softens and lets go on its own. We never pry it off: do that at home and you'll take a layer of nail with it.
How much does a Bio gel set cost?
From $65, depending on length and finish. We give you the total at the consultation, before the first stroke goes on.
Will the gel lift or catch at the edges?
Prepped properly, it stays put for 3 to 4 weeks without lifting. Avoid using your nails as tools and come back for a refill as soon as regrowth shows, before anything starts to catch.
Is it a good choice for a first set?
Yes, especially if you're torn between plain polish and acrylic. It's an understated set that strengthens without drastically changing your nail shape.
