What is Gel-X?
Gel-X is a pre-shaped soft-gel tip that covers the whole natural nail, edge to edge, rather than a small tip glued only at the free edge. We match the size to your exact nail width, bond it on, then cure it under an LED lamp so the tip fuses with the nail, no powder or liquid monomer and none of that sharp acrylic smell. It wears soft and light, giving you genuine length and a crisp shape, whether that's almond, square or stiletto. Because the bond comes from UV curing rather than pressure, taking it off means soaking it down, not scraping or popping it off. Brush on cuticle oil daily and the set holds its look noticeably longer.

How long does it last?
A Gel-X set typically lasts 3 to 4 weeks. As with any enhancement, cuticle oil and gloves for housework extend the wear.
What to expect
Nail prep, choosing the tip shape and size, bonding and curing under an LED lamp, then shaping and finish (colour or design of your choice). Expect 60 to 90 minutes.

What's the difference between Gel-X and acrylic?
Gel-X is a soft-gel tip cured under an LED lamp: it wears lighter, with no powder and none of the acrylic smell. Acrylic stays stiffer and stronger for very long sets, while Gel-X aims for a more natural finish and a gentler removal.
Does Gel-X removal damage my nails?
No, when it's done properly. We let the tips soak in acetone until the gel saturates and lifts on its own, then ease the residue away with a wooden stick. Your natural nail comes out intact underneath.
Does getting Gel-X hurt?
Not at all. Bonding the tip and curing it under the lamp never touches living skin. At most you feel a brief warm flash under the LED while the gel sets, and we slow down the moment you mention it.
How much does a Gel-X set cost?
From $60, depending on length, shape and design. We price it all out at the consultation, and flag it again if you add nail art.
Do I need a full new set each time or can I get a fill?
Around 3-4 weeks, once regrowth shows, we usually do a fresh set rather than a true fill: we gently remove the old tips and rebuild on a clean base. If a single tip lifts before then, pop in and we'll re-bond it.
