What we wax
Waxing pulls hair out from the root instead of cutting it at the surface the way a razor does. We heat the wax to the right temperature, spread it in the direction of growth, then lift it off in one quick motion so the whole follicle comes with it without snapping the hair. Depending on how sensitive the area is, we use a peelable hard wax (no strip) for the face and bikini, gentler on the skin. Right after, skin feels smooth to the touch, maybe a little pink for a few hours. Because the root is removed, regrowth shows up later than with shaving and comes back finer and softer. A bit of soothing oil afterward, and skip direct sun the same day.

How long does it last?
Depending on the area, skin stays smooth for 3 to 6 weeks, and regrowth gets finer over time. Avoid sun and harsh exfoliation right after.

How much regrowth do I need before an appointment?
Aim for about 2 to 3 weeks; the hair should be roughly 5 mm so the wax can grip it. Too short and it slips, too long and it's more uncomfortable. If you shave in between, let it grow back enough first.
How is it different from shaving?
A razor cuts the hair at skin level, so it grows back in 2-3 days, sometimes prickly. Wax removes it from the root, so skin stays smooth for 3 to 6 weeks and regrowth comes back finer over time.
How do I avoid ingrown hairs?
Exfoliate the area gently 2-3 times a week between appointments and keep it moisturized. Skip tight clothing right after a bikini or leg wax so the skin can breathe.
It's my first time, how should I prep?
Let the hair grow out enough (about 2 weeks), come with clean skin and no heavy cream that day. Tell us if you use products like retinol, since we avoid waxing over treated skin.
What if my skin reacts afterward?
Some redness or small bumps for a few hours is normal. Apply something cool or a soothing gel, and avoid sauna, sun and exfoliation for 24 hours. If your skin is reactive, we can patch-test a small area first.
